Mary Nutter Classic 85 games begins on Thursday

The Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic’s second weekend throws its first pitch at 10 a.m. PT on Thursday, February 23, featuring 35 teams and 85 games over four days. Of those 35 teams, 15 of them are ranked in either the Softball Top-25 or the USA  Today/NFCA Division I Top-25. Thirteen of those 15 teams appear in both polls.

This weekend’s field also includes 25 players listed on the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Top-50 “Watch List.”

The tournament’s 85 games will take place over four days with games starting at 10 a.m. on Thursday and Friday (Feb. 23-24), 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, and 9 a.m. on Sunday, February, 26. All games will be played at the Big League Dreams complex on Date Palm Drive in Cathedral City, Calif.

Weather and field conditions have once again conspired to alter today’s schedule at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic. Despite the best efforts of the staff, fields will not be playable until at least 5:00 p.m. PT. Today’s schedule is pending

Updated Schedule for Friday Feb 17th, 2017

With the probability of inclement weather in Cathedral City on Friday evening, the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic is announcing schedule changes for Friday, February 17.

All of Friday’s 15 games will now take place at 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 3 p.m., and all five fields at the Big League Dreams complex will be utilized in those three time slots. For the complete updated schedule, please visit our website,

We are confident that this move will provide the best opportunity to complete all 15 of Friday’s games. At this time, we do not have any changes to Saturday or Sunday’s schedules.


Update 4:30pm Thursday 2/16

There will be a 16th game played on Friday, Feb. 17, at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic. Washington is now scheduled to play CSUN at 5 p.m. on Des Moines, immediately following the conclusion of the day’s 15 originally scheduled games.
